In the shelter, the two started off together. When six puppies were born, one of the counselors took Jade and the puppies home to care for them. some time later, the dogs were reunited in the shelter.Ben, a 4 1/2-year-old mixed breed (left), and Jade, a 1-year-old German Shepherd mix (right), were two strays who met on the streets of Terre Haute, Indiana, and fell in love. So yes, it seems that dogs fall in love, but this happy ending took a tranquilizer dart gun to make the story complete. Ben was too wary of people to allow them to catch him, even though it was for his own good. As the story tells, after many attempts, it was clear he wasn’t going to be caught easily.
