Yorkshire Terrier – as its name suggests, “Yorkies” were developed in Yorkshire, England, to catch rats in clothing mills. Yorkies are cute, and small, up to 7 pounds, but some may grow to 15 pounds. They have a long coat and most are gray, black, and tan.
The American Kennel Club shows them in Toy Group or Companion Group, even though they agree they are a terrier.
According to the American Kennel Club, Yorkies are one of the top ten favorite breeds in the US, placing 6th in 2012 and 2013.

This boy looks great, but needs a good brushing. He is the beast!
For some reason he’s not so happy now.
Looks like her mom has a brush! She is the beauty.
Love them! We just got a tiny teacup male yorkie. He loves the kids and is OK with our other pets. We just love him to bits. Yorkies are the best!
